that live in the country.
En Uruguay no hay un registro de las especies de chicharras
que viven en el pais.
What is known that the most common is the Dorisiana
bonaerensis and can measure approximately 60 mm.
Lo que si se sabe que la mas comun es la Dorisiana
bonaerensis y pueden medir aproximadamente unos 60 mm.
Among cicadas predators are birds, ants, spiders, reptiles
and some small mammals.

Cicada young (called nymphs) hatch from the eggs and
immediately drop to burrow underground, where they attach to the tree roots.
Las jovenes chicharras (llamadas ninfas) salen de los huevos

Una vez fuera, la joven cigarra trepa sobre un arbol y se
convierte en adulta.
