Mientras que casi todas las gallinetas son reservadas y habitan en vegetacion espesa, la gallineta grande vive alrededor de bañados y rios y siempre se la ve en campo abierto, caminando despacio entre el barro.
While most rails are shy and inhabit thick vegetation, the gian wood-rail lives along marshes and rivers and can often be seen in the open, walking slowly along mud banks.
