# it tends to be segmented with a diameter of an inch or larger. It often contains hair and bits of bone which may give it a white coloration. Cougar deposit their scat in prominent locations such as the middle of trails and dirt roads and near kill caches as territorial markings. This behavior is more commonly seen with males than females.

COUGAR SCRATCHES. RASGUNOS DEL PUMA

Cougars sometimes also leaves scratch markings on three trunks through a process called claw raking. Similar to the house cat scratching furniture, a cougar will stand on ots hind legs and drags its claws down a tree trunk. The scratches will be aproximately four to eight feet off the ground, depending on the size of the cat, and run parallel and vertically down the tree a few feet.

# An anecdotal fact calling much about this species, it was the way that appeared the bodies of the drowned animals in fishing nets with parallel lines that appeared seemed wounds caused by animal teeth, but whose origin it was difficult to identify.

#En una filmacion de seguridad en una plataforma de investigacion, a principio de los anos 90 se encontro la repuesta. Los animales que no habian caido en las mallas intentaban rescatar a los capturados. Las lineas eran literalmente mordidas y   arrastradas al nadar tratando de auxiliar al prisionero.

# In a security camera on  a research platform, in the early 90's the answer was found. The animals that had no fallen into the net trying to rescue the captured. The lines were literally bitten and dragged to swim trying to help the prisoner.
