# It's scientific name means: Xolmis, of uncertain origin, probably comes from the Aztec "Xomoti", the name of the bird recorded by Hernandez (1651) in Mexico and from Guarani Irupero, that means problematic bird.
# Su nombe cientifico significa : Xolmis, de origen incierto, probablemente provenga del Azteca "Xomoti", el nombre del ave registrado por Hernandez (1651) en Mexico y del Guarani Irupero , que significa ave problematica.
 # It is found in Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay, Bolivia y Uruguay.

# The White monjita frequent open and semi-open grassland, savannahs, pastures with scattered trees and bushes.
# La vuidita blanca comun frequenta campos abiertos o semi abiertos, praderas y pasturas con arbustos y arboles dispersos.
# It is often seen along the roads, perched on fences, and near habitations in rural areas, but also near marshes or open water.

# The white monjita has low, slow and quiet flight. It performs serial sallies when hunting and can hover for long periods almost motionless.
# La monjita blanca tiene un vuelo bajo, lento y tranquilo. Esta realiza salidas en serie cuando caza y puede quedarse inmovil en el aire por largos periodos casi sin moverse.
# The white monjita hides among the vegetation when alarmed.

# Generally it is alone, perched on conspicuos places such as fences, power lines, shrubs and low trees.

# In Uruguay reside throughout the year, where it nests, does not  migrate.

# The territory is strongly defended against other birds, incluiding the same species.
# Su territorio es defendido vigorosamente contra otras aves, incluyendo las de su misma especie.
# It nests in cavities, a hole in tree or abandoned nest of Rufous hornero, usually about 3 meters about of ground.
# Esta anida en cavidades en aguejros en los arboles, o en nidos abandonados por los horneros, usualmente a aproximadamente unos 3 metros del suelo.
# Inside the cavity, the birds build a large open cup made with twigs and grass, and the interior is lines with finer materials such as feathers or hair.
# Adentro de la cavidad, las aves construyen una copa grande hecha con ramas y pastos y en el interior es terminada con materiales finos tales como plumas o pelos.

# The female lays 3-4 white eggs with fine reddish and grey markings.

# Some leyend talk about this bird as the God soul. For this reason, it is never seen as cagebird because it does not sing anymore and rapidly dies.
# Alguna leyenda dice que esta ave es el alma de Dios. Por esta razon, este nunca ha sido visto como un ave de jaula, debido a que no canta mas y muere rapidamente.
# It is also know as "Ghost bird" because in addition of its pure white plumage, it often perches on head stones in country graveyards.
# Este es tambien conocido como "Ave fantasma" porque ademas de su plumaje blanco puro, este siempre esta posado en las piedras de los cementerios del pais.
# It is believed to represent the soul of an ancestor and night when they hear its whistling, pray for the relief of that soul.

# Is belief that begins to sing the night before the day of the deceased and when farmers feel contrite and collected to remember their deceased loved ones.

# And liver very happy, because they had all, the birdsong, silence, loneliness, herd of cabres and near had a gentle stream of clear water, where the herd came to drink.
# Y vivia muy feliz, porque lo tenia todo, el canto de las aves, el silencio, la soledad, el rebano de cabras y cerca habia un arroyo manso de aguas claras, donde venia a beber el rebano.
# Just when the birs wake up her and when the man was going behind the flock, she put her feet on the soft sand and let the water caress her skin.
# Apenas los pajaros la despertaban, y cuando el hombre se marchaba junto al rebano, ponia los pies en la arena blanda y dejaba que el agua le acariciara la piel.
# And when the sun warmed the day, she buried her body in the water.

# But one day she woke up with the birds singing and not saw the companion besides her and the herd in the pen were bleating, eager for freedom.

# And there stay stared from side to side.
# Y alli se quedo mirando de un lado a otro.
# They say so that she always is alone and near of herds, looking for the herdsman.
# Dicen que por eso siempre anda sola y cerca de las majadas, buscando a el pastor.
# And in sign of its mourning, it uses its white suit with a black band at the edge of their wings.
# Y en sena de duelo, usa su traje blanco con una banda negra en el borde de sus alas.
