The Seriema is famous for its unique way of killing its prey.
El Seriema es fomosa por su manera unica de matar a sus prezas.

When killing a large prey, such as snake, they will pick it up in their beak and forcefully throw it at the ground, until it is stunned or dead.

The red legged seriema is a distinctive and large bird weighing up to 1,5 kg and reaching nearly a meter tall.

The main threat to the seriema is conflict with farmers, they are often killed by farmers for eating their crops.
El principal peligro para la sierema es el conflicto con los agricultores, ellas siempre son matadas por loa agricultores porque le comen sus granos.

Some farmers will capture a young seriema and tame it, training it to act as a guard dog warning off predators such as foxes.

They are one of few species who may benefit from deforestation, as it creates more open grassy habitats,  perfect for seriemas.

To escape, it prefers to run rather than fly. It can reach upto 40 km per hour.
Para escapar prefiere correr antes que volar. Puede alcanzar hasta 40 km por hora.

It's fly is short and with strong flutter.
